$195.00
Explore the city’s architecture, art & history on this Downtown Chicago ‘Loop’ Highlights Walking tour!
Come explore with me, a passionate native (and former Chicago Architecture Center docent), and see the amazing public art and architecture and hear the fascinating history of Chicago. This tour is a great introduction & overview perfect for the beginning of your stay to give you the lay of the land.
Did you know we are home to the first skyscraper, built in 1885? As technology advanced, buildings grew vertically using steel frame construction, known as the first Chicago School.
We’ll see many styles of architecture ranging from classic Beaux-Arts, Chicago School to Art Deco and International Style. We’ll also see beautiful world-class art, including Tiffany stained glass, Alexander Calder, Marc Chagall & Picasso.
Are you ready for an urban adventure?
Thank you! A portion of each tour cost will be donated to My Block My Hood My City
